Essex Bio-Technology enters Strategic Collaboration Framework Agreement with Gunze Medical to further Commercial Access and to advance Research in Regenerative Medicine and Wound Care

Essex Bio-Technology Limited (“EssexBio” or the “Group”, stock code: 1061.HK) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic collaboration framework agreement with Gunze Medical Limited (“Gunze Medical”), a significant milestone in expanding their commercial partnership and establishing a global platform for collaboration to advance research in regenerative medicine and wound care.

This agreement builds upon their existing commercial partnership in the PRC and broadens it to key markets in Southeast Asia. It further includes the extension of Gunze Medical’s capability and resources to EssexBio for making in-road its FGF-2 based products into Japan, and the initiative to joint product development, led by Gunze, utilising EssexBio’s proprietary technology in FGF-2 and Gunze’s proprietary products (i.e PELNAC©, PELNAC© Gplus, etc.) for a Best-in-Class new product(s) addressing unmet clinical needs in wound care.

The two companies will establish a joint Steering Committee to oversee collaborative initiatives and future projects arising from the framework.
